Ultrasonic 2 axis wind speed and direction sensors
|

WindSonicNow with two-year warranty, the WindSonic anemometer is the real low cost alternative to conventional cup and vane
or propeller wind sensors combining wind speed and direction data into one serial stream or two
analogue outputs. Gill also supply free WindCom software for logging data from the serial output.
The unit is lightweight (0.5kg) and robust, being manufactured from a polycarbonate blend case to
withstand installation and use avoiding the problems caused by the fragility of cups or propellers.
Designed for marine or land based applications, it requires no expensive site calibration or maintenance WINDSONIC

WindObserver IIAll the performance of WindSonic anemometer plus increased speed range and stainless steel construction, optional
de-icing system to extend operational temperature range. Also includes IP66 enclosure and sonic temperature output and averaging (1-3600s) – which can be logged using the free Gill WindCom software. WINDOBSERVER II

High Speed WindObserver for wind speeds up to 75 m/s (168 mph)The first class WindObserver has the impressive performance of the WindObserverII but has been enhanced to measure wind speed and direction to wind speeds of 75 m/s (168 mph). This proves essential in applications involving tornados and tropical storms, in land based and offshore applications. The small opposing transducers provide maximum possible directional ultrasonic signals (used to provide wind data) whilst ensuring the minimum of wind distortion. HIGH SPEED WINDOBSERVER

Naval WindObserver Gill has developed a Naval version of the WindObserver wind sensor for AGI based in Poole in Dorset, UK. The instrument was developed to meet the demanding environment on board surface warships. The anemometer forms an integrated part of naval wind measurement systems, and is installed as part of the MORIAH wind system for the US Navy and similar integrated systems for other nation's Naval forces worldwide. WindMaster / WindMaster ProThe new WindMaster range is ideal for measuring turbulence on bridges, buildings, wind turbines, ventilation control systems and meteorological and flux measurement sites. Digital outputs for U,V, and W vectors are available on both units as are outputs for Speed of Sound and Sonic Temperature. The WindMaster>, constructed from aluminium and carbon fibre, is available with data outputs of either
up to 20Hz (standard) or 32 Hz (optional). The WindMaster Pro, constructed from stainless steel, has a max wind speed of 65 m/s and a fast data output rate of up to 32Hz. Improved vertical (W) resolution and SOS accuracy with less distortion due to

RS & HS RangeThe Solent R3 and HS Research Range have been designed for researchers who need to determine
fluxes using eddy covariance. The range provides U,V,W and SOS (sonic temperature) outputs, which may
be logged using the free Gill WindCom software. All units are served with common electronics and software.

HS Range - Horizontal headThe horizontal head configurations allows more accurate assessment of vertical (W) and directional flows,
with minimum interruption from the anemometer geometry and can easily be positioned close to the
ground or at crop and tree level canopies for accurate measurement of SOS derived surface temperature. HS-50 Horizontal head, 50Hz output rate
